Stuck up with bad credit unsecured credit cards? It is a rather rickety situation, as you have been almost blacklisted, but cling on to the edge by holding an unsecured credit card. Now, how can one work their way up from such a situation?
How can one possibly get out of the rut called ‘bad credit’? I ponder over these questions, and in the process, also try my hand at giving some answers. Here are some ideas on how to pull yourself up to a respectable position in your credit rating, from such a state.
You will need to start from scratch. So, go around and do a small survey of banks. Now, the outcome of the survey, will catch your eye. Shortlist a couple of banks which you think, you can establish and maintain a relation with. Next, go to the bank, you are currently dealing with. Open a $500 odd savings account in this bank.
So far so good. You have set the ball rolling, now for the next move. Go ahead and converse with your bank consultant. Request him to open, for you, a $500 line of credit, secured through your savings account (the one you newly opened).
Next comes the most important step. Use this $500 line of credit to open another savings account in one of the banks you had shortlisted. Now, ask the consultant at that bank to give you, another $500 secured line of credit on the savings account in this bank.
Keep bouncing the $500 savings account and credit line process, as mentioned above in another 3-4 banks. Do it, until you have about 5 outstanding secured bank loans.
It doesn’t end here. You have made the way to clear off the bad credit unsecured credit cards against your name. Now, to establish some good credit! Do the payments for the interest for these accounts. Keep paying these bills off on time. Use a cell phone, and pay off all the bills on time.
These bills have to bear your name and social security number. Before you choose the cell phone service network, name sure their policies on reporting are clear and clean. Some companies have this policy to report only negative credit information.
6 months of doing this, your credit rating will start building up and your score will reach new heights too! Bad credit unsecured credit cards did not help much in your score, so don’t worry. Start small and work your way to good credit.
