Compare – Doing an Online mbna credit card comparison
Now, comparing is one of the best ways to get to the best deal. No doubt our parents and co always compared us with our peers to check our performance levels! However, when it comes to business, nothing else will do as comparing is indeed a boon. Hence, I decided to do an online mbna credit card comparison. It was a task not that complicated.
However, I’ll go ahead and list my findings in this article.
Since I was on the verge of getting a new credit card, and had narrowed down on mbna. But, I needed a final check before I could nail it down with this company. Hence, I did this online mbna credit card comparison. It was basically a side-by-side comparison looking into features such as Typical APR, Balance Transfer Rate, Transfer fee and required credit rating.
First, for my pick. MBNA Platinum Plus, which was the most common and best deal offered by mbna, carried a typical APR of 16.90%. Now, I took this figure in comparison with the other players in the market such as Capital One Progress Card, which had an alarming APR of 34.90%, the Egg card, which was at par with mbna at 16.90%.
The Halifax All in One card offered a better deal at an APR of fewer than 16%. Now, the thing about APRs is that, if a card had a high APR, it also calls for a low credit rating. For example, the MBNA and Halifax cards which gave me cheaper APR percentages required good credit ratings.
But, the Capital One card was calling for bad credit. The MBNA platinum rewards card was more attractive than the previous one mentioned, as it had a 0% Balance Transfer rate for the first 13 months,
The MBNA WWF card was almost along similar lines, it did have a marginally higher Transfer Fee at 3% whilst the other MBNA cards mentioned had only 2.9%. It was marginal, yet, one would save on the pennies by taking the previous options.
Now, what about players like Barclays? The Barclaycard Premium had a much lesser APR than MBNA at 14.9%, a Transfer fee of only 2.5%, and of course, all this, only if you had an excellent credit rating. Capital One reached to low credit rating users as well.
Its Classic Visa Card required only a credit rating which ‘needed improvement’. MBNA did not have great deals for low credit rating people.
My online MBNA credit card comparison helped me in making my pick amongst the MBNA cards.
